Release Notes is our update that highlights the new features of Mosyle Manager as well as recent product improvements we’ve made to help you manage Apple devices in your schools and/or district. Here's what we launched in March 2019!

iOS 12.2

New Restriction: Do not allow Siri server-side logging

When this restriction is enabled, Siri server-side logging is disabled. To apply this restriction to the iOS devices, navigate to Management > Restrictions > Add new Profile > + Restrictions > select the restriction > configure the profile assignment and click "Save".

New Restriction: Do not allow Personal Hotspot change

After this restriction is activated, the user will not be able to modify Personal Hotspot settings. Supervision is required in order to apply this restriction. To apply this restriction to the iOS devices, navigate to Management > Restrictions > Add new Profile > + Restrictions > select the restriction > configure the profile assignment and click "Save".

tvOS 12.2

New Restriction: Force automatic date and time

Now you can force automatic date and time. Supervision is required in order to apply this restriction. To apply this restriction to the tvOS devices, navigate to Management > Restrictions > Add new Profile > + Restrictions > select the restriction > configure the profile assignment and click "Save".

New Management Profile: Software Delay

With the release of tvOS 12.2, now you can delay the update of Apple TV’s operating system for up to 90 days using a mobile device management (MDM) solution. In Mosyle’s tvOS platform, navigate to Management > Software Delay and configure the management profile.

macOS 10.14.4

New Settings: Disable or Enable Apple Remote Desktop

Now you are able to disable or enable Apple Remote Desktop on your Mac devices using the MDM solution. When it is disabled, the local user will be unable to use this feature to access or share their screen. To disable ARD on the macOS devices, navigate to Management > Devices > select the devices > click the "More" drop-down menu and select “ Disable Apple Remote Desktop” from the list to apply the restriction. If you'd like to enable ARD on the devices, select "Enable Apple Remote Desktop" from the list.
