Release Notes is our monthly update that highlights the new features of Mosyle Manager as well as recent product improvements we’ve made to help you manage Apple devices in your schools and/or district. Here's what we launched in July 2018!
Now you are able to personalize the information that will be displayed in the columns of the Bulk Operations area. To customize this interface, go to “Bulk Operations” and click “Personalize” to select the information that you would like to see on the screen, being able to change the order of the data by using the drag and drop capability.
You are able to check out the App Store Status of the devices in the Bulk Operations area, viewing if there’s any Apple ID logged in the App Store from the specific device.
Now you can personalize the information that will be exported in the Device Info area. To customize the reports, go to the “Export Infos” within the Device Info and choose “Personalize”. Select the information that you would like to see on the screen, being able to change them by order by using the drag and drop capability.
Now you can configure some management profiles so they will not be re-installed or removed during the assignment or logout procedures. This advanced option is available for the following profiles: Directory, Wi-fi Authentication, SCEP, Multi-Cert Wi-fi, Certificates and Dock.
Selecting the "Do not reinstall the profile during the assignment/login” option can help avoid issues with Wifi connection and Directory binding. You can also choose the option "Do not remove the profile when the assignment is removed or during logout", which will lock the management profile on the device and prevent it from being removed when the device assignment changes or when users log out of the device.
You can now edit new Grade Level Parameters to streamline refreshing data into Mosyle Manager from Apple School Manager for the new Academic Year. There are two more options, allowing you to assign all grade levels to the only available location in Mosyle or assign grade levels based on the location type or name.
Now you are able to view all the management profiles assigned to each user within Mosyle Manager MDM. Navigate to the users area, select the user and click "View profiles assigned" where you will be able to see a list of all the management profiles assigned to this specific user.
Now you can easily configure NoMAD during the enrollment process of your Mac devices using the DEP profile. You will be able to upload the NoMAD package installer and check the configuration options that fits for you and your school, making the enrollment process easier.
Now you can create LDAP management profiles to configure your devices to connect to an LDAP server and access directory information. When creating this new management profile, entering the LDAP host name or IP Address is required. You can also specify multiple search bases as well as connections.
You are able to select the CalDAV Servers for the Calendar management profile on the iOS platform. When adding the new profile, select “CalDAV Servers”. The host name and port as well as the user name are required.
Now you can create Single Sign-On management profiles to be applied to your iOS devices. Configure this profile by entering the Account Name, Principal Name and Realm, as well the Certificate used to renew the Kerberos credential without user interaction. You can also limit the account to specific URL patterns and to specific apps.
Now you are able to create Domain management profiles to be applied to the iPads. You are able to enter the Unmarked Email Domains, Managed Safari Web Domains and Safari Password Domains (supervised only).
Now you are able to create Contact management profiles to be applied to the iPads. When creating this new management profile, Hostname and port as well as user name are required. You can also enable SSL.
