Our latest quick tip will help you create groups with criteria, or dynamic groups, by using tags. This feature makes it easier to sort devices and allows you to deploy apps/software to certain groups of users in a faster way.

Today’s tip for success is using tags to create dynamic groups. In short, this means creating groups with certain criteria, with the tag being the identifier.
To complete this in Mosyle Manager, log in and click on the Management tab at the bottom. Then, go to Bulk Operations from the menu on the left. Click on the Bulk by Import button on the very right and, under Add Tags, download the template.
Fill out the necessary information for your fleet of devices, including the tags you want to associate with those devices. Upload the completed document.
Next, go to the Dynamic Group tab at the top and click on the dropdown menu. If you haven’t created a dynamic group before, the dropdown menu will say “No Dynamic Group Selected.” Click Add new Dynamic Group and fill out the information. Then, click on the dropdown menu in the Your Criteria section. Choose tags as the criteria and add the tag you’d like to associate with this group of devices. For example, you can choose tags that contain the word “teacher.”
Click save and you’re done!
