Today’s tip for success provides a quick way to populate student photos in Classroom App and Mosyle Classroom Manager. First, let’s make sure the setting to allow students to upload their own photo is on. Go to My School and on the menu scroll down to Photos, confirm that the toggle for “allow students to publish their own photos” is green.
Next, on the student device launch the Manager app, then tap settings on the top right, and then click on the grey person icon to upload a photo from their camera roll.
Within a few moments, their photo should appear under their user info in My School > Users > Students.
Alternatively, you can bulk upload student photos if the filename of each picture file is named as the user id. You can upload the files in My School > Users > Photos.
Finally, if Apple Classroom is not updating with photos, have the teacher open their Manager app on their device and toggle "Prepare Classroom App" for all on the top right. Within a few moments you will see the photos load in Classroom.
